We invite you to the opening of the “Obid” project on July 17 at 6:30 p.m. Eye Sea Gallery, Kyiv, 40 Olesya Gonchara St., entrance through the archway from the courtyard.

“Obid (Lunch)”

The “Obid” exhibition is structured as a single installation composed of a collection of individual works.

“Obid” begins with a basic need and unfolds into a system of repetitive actions, shortages, excesses, pauses, and traces.

The selection is fundamentally subjective, and the absence of hierarchy among artists, media, and individual works is part of the method. Each work enters the exhibition not only as an autonomous statement but as an element of a whole, where the connections between the works determine how each one is interpreted.

Food and crumbs.

An empty and a full plate.

A shared table.

Time set aside for the body.

A break that belongs to some, but not to others.

Stains, dishes, leftovers—food as an archive.

Lunch is repeated every day.

Lunch is a structure: a way of organizing time, intimacy, labor, solitude, and survival.
